  • Unlock the phone: Use Face ID by looking at the screen, or enter your passcode.

  • Charging: Use the USB-C cable included with your device.

  • Action button (left, above volumes): Replaces the mute switch.

    • Default: toggles silent mode.

    • Customizable via Settings → Action Button (e.g. Camera, Voice Memo, Shortcut).

Face ID Tips

  • Works best at arm’s length in good lighting.

  • Glasses, hats, or masks may require adding an alternate appearance in Settings → Face ID & Passcode.

  • If Face ID fails, swipe up and enter your passcode.

  • Adjust volume: Side buttons or Control Center.

  • Flashlight: Swipe down from top-right → tap flashlight icon.

  • Quick camera: Swipe left on lock screen or use Action Button (if assigned).

  • App search: Swipe down on the Home screen.

Battery & Charging

  • iPhone 16e uses USB-C (Lightning cables are not compatible).

  • Enable Optimized Battery Charging: Settings → Battery → Optimized Battery Charging.

  • Supports wireless charging with Qi-certified and MagSafe chargers.

Key Differences from iPhone SE

  • No Home button / Touch ID → Replaced by gestures + Face ID.

  • Mute switch replaced → Action Button (customizable).
